Help

Quick instructions for editing, importing and saving your timetable. Changing language does not translate your own text.

Getting started

Type into the timetable or choose Import CSV/TSV/PDF. On phones, editing tools are under Settings & editing, below the table and notes. Choose Language there; Automatic follows your browser language, with English as the fallback. The help page’s language selector changes only this guide.

Children and timetables

Edit the name beside the heading (up to 10 characters). The + creates an empty timetable; the arrows switch children. Each child has separate lessons, notes and shift settings. Your existing timetable is kept as the first one.

For CSV, TSV or PDF, enter the child’s name. New child creates a separate timetable; Replace selected child’s timetable replaces only the selected timetable. Cancel keeps everything unchanged. Export CSV saves only the selected timetable, with the name in the filename; names are not stored inside the CSV. Existing single-child files still work.

Under Settings & editing, choose Delete timetable and confirm to delete that timetable, its name and saved data. Other timetables stay unchanged. Deleting the last one leaves an empty timetable. Export a backup first if needed; deletion cannot be undone.

Settings & editing is below the timetable and notes on every screen. View, Shift and Set this week's shift are there; day navigation stays above the table. Switching children clears undo history. Replacing a timetable by import can be undone in the current session, but adding or deleting a child cannot.

Day and week views

Under View, Automatic shows one day on small screens and the week on larger ones. Single day or Full week overrides this; your choice is saved. Use the arrows to browse Monday–Friday (through Saturday when enabled), or Today to return to today. On Sunday, or Saturday when hidden, it shows the coming Monday. Weekly view always shows both shifts.

Saturday is optional and off by default. Enable Show Saturday in settings to include it in the week view, day navigation and activity forms. Turning it off hides Saturday without deleting its data; exports retain it. On Saturday, when enabled, Today shows Saturday with the current week’s shift. Sunday still shows the coming Monday. Saturday entries also count when deciding whether hours zero and 6–8 are empty. Imports containing Saturday can enable it automatically.

Automatic daily refresh

The first time you return to the tab on a new day, it selects today and restores the automatic shift. Later visits that day keep your manual choice. Reloading also starts at today. There is no background timer: a page left open past midnight updates when you return. An open import preview delays this until you close it. The device date and time zone must be correct.

Weekly shift rotation

Set This week's shift once to Morning shift or Afternoon shift. In day view with Automatic, the shift then alternates every Monday. If school changes its pattern, set it again. Not set disables rotation and shows both shifts in automatic day view.

Shift changes only what you see until the next day or reload, not the weekly pattern. This week's shift always refers to the current calendar week. An enabled Saturday uses that week; Sunday previews the next week.

Lessons, times and row height

Tap a cell to type; Enter adds a line. Rows grow to fit the text. Edit the time on the left separately for each shift; it applies to all days in that row. Recognized start times determine row order. Hour zero is hidden separately for each shift when empty on all days, including hidden Saturday. Use Edit hour zero to fill it.

Hours 1–5 stay visible. Empty trailing hours 6–8 are hidden only if no later hour has lessons. All days, including hidden Saturday are checked separately for each shift. Use Add next school hour, the plus to the right of the time in the last school-hour cell, to add the next hour. Choose a day and enter a lesson; an empty row cannot be saved. Existing lesson times are retained. Clearing the last lesson hides the trailing row again. Hour zero is still edited separately.

A red triangle in the lower-left corner marks each lesson or activity cell whose time overlaps another entry on the same day within the same shift. Only conflicting cells are marked. Hover over or focus the triangle for details. Warnings update as you edit. Consecutive time ranges do not overlap; empty cells and unrecognized time ranges are not checked.

Colors, moving and copying

Select a cell, then a circle under Cell color. Drag its dotted handle: Move / swap swaps contents; Copy overwrites the destination and keeps the source. Ctrl or Option while dragging also copies.

On phones, press Copy cell or Move cell, then tap the cell where you want the content. You can change days between these steps. With a keyboard, after choosing copy or move, press Tab until the dotted button in the destination cell is highlighted. Then press Enter. Text and color move together; times stay put. Cancel or Escape cancels placement.

Undo and safe editing

Undo restores edits, moves, settings or an import, up to 40 steps. Reloading clears this history; there is no redo. Export a backup before large changes.

CSV and TSV

Export CSV saves both shifts, times, colors, activities, notes, language and shift rotation, but not view choices or undo history. Reimport this file to restore the timetable or move it to another device.

Import CSV/TSV/PDF accepts CSV/TSV up to 2 MB with commas, semicolons or tabs, including the Croatian SAT/UJUTRO/POPODNE layout. To keep colors, use the app’s export format; spreadsheet formatting alone is not enough.

CSV exports retain the Saturday setting and its lessons, activities and colors even when Saturday is hidden. Older five-day files still import.

PDF import

Import CSV/TSV/PDF supports Croatian school PDFs headed Raspored ujutro / Raspored popodne with selectable text. Check the preview before confirming. Limits: 4 pages, 10 MB; processing is on your device. Scans, other layouts, password-protected files, lessons beyond hour 8 are unsupported. Enter lesson times afterwards.

Saturday lessons are supported in the recognized PDF layout. Importing a PDF with Saturday lessons enables Saturday.

Activities and shared notes

Imported activities appear among lessons, ordered by time, and can be edited like other cells. Shift-specific activities stay in that shift; weekly activities appear in both. Notes for the whole week is shared by all days and shifts, and is saved and exported with the timetable. You can resize the notes box.

To add an activity, press the plus below the desired shift. In Add activity, enter What, choose Day and times From and Until, then press Add. The end must be after the start on the same day. The activity is inserted by time; school hours are preserved. Later, edit its name directly in the cell and its time on the left.

Selecting an activity reveals a trash icon in the corner opposite the dotted move handle. Press it, then confirm with Delete. Only that day’s activity is removed; other days remain. An empty row disappears after deletion. Use Undo to undo additions or deletions. New activities are saved and exported with the timetable.

Saving, privacy and offline use

Timetable data stays exclusively in the browser on the device where you enter it. It is not sent to a server or automatically transferred to other devices or browsers. To transfer it, use Export CSV, then import the file on the other device. Changes save automatically, without an account. Clearing site data may erase the timetable. If saving fails, use Export CSV. The site separately uses Google Analytics for visitor statistics.

First open the page online, while connected to the internet, and wait for it to load. The browser saves the files needed to run it. Once saved, you can reopen the timetable and help at the same address in the same browser offline, without an internet connection. Offline PDF import also needs the PDF reader files saved. Keep CSV backups: the browser may delete stored data.

If something does not work

For the wrong day, check the device date and use Today. For the wrong shift, choose Automatic under Shift and check This week's shift. On phones, other controls are under Settings & editing. If import fails, check format and size; the existing timetable stays unchanged. After an update, open the page online, while connected to the internet, and refresh it so the browser downloads the new version. Export before clearing site data.
